Officers from Police Scotland's Highlands and Islands Police Division are appealing for witnesses following a crash near Dornoch where one of the driver's failed to stop at the scene at the Evelix filling station

Sutherland police are appealing for witnesses after a driver failed to stop after a crash on the A9 near Dornoch.

It was around 12.30pm on Tuesday on the A9 southbound at the Evelix filling station.

A black Vauxhall Corsa and a red vehicle were involved in the collision and the driver of the red vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

Sergeant Michael Gallie, of Alness police station, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash, in particular anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash and may have dashcam footage that can assist with our investigation.

“Also, anyone who may have seen the red vehicle that was involved following the crash should get in touch.”
