Last week was a hectic one for staff and clients at the Bradbury Centre, with a whirl of outings and events organised to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
There was coffee and bingo at the Kyle of Sutherland Hub as well as lunch outings to Royal Dornoch Golf Club and Strathpeffer Golf Club – via Invergordon to see the liner docked at the port, and taking the scenic route over the top road to Dingwall.

The day care centre – located in Bonar Bridge – laid on a special anniversary lunch and party with a cake on Wednesday for all the clients, who are not often all together as they attend the unit in different groups on different days.
A band from Portmahomack provided musical entertainment after the party lunch.
Commemorative mugs with a picture of the Bradbury Centre on them were gifted to every client at the party.
Lord-Lieutenant Patrick Marriott and his deputy visited the centre to join in the celebratory meal. They were able to browse round an anniversary display compiled by the centre and comprising a large number of old photographs, newsletters and clippings about the unit from past editions of the Northern Times.
Centre manager Lorraine Askew thanked all staff who she said had “worked very hard to make the week special".
She said: "It was a busy but enjoyable week and the clients had a great time. We were very fortunate to get lottery funding through Awards for All."
A Friends of the Bradbury Centre coffee morning last Saturday raised £752.
