Clothing Fair

Re-Love Clothing Fair at Ullapool Village Hall on Friday 2pm-7pm.

Film Nights

Kyle of Sutherland Cinema Club meets at Bonar Bridge Community Hall on Friday 7.30pm.

Dornoch Cinema Club meets at the Social Club on Friday 7pm.

Quiz Nights

Golspie in Bloom quiz at Fountain Road Hall on Friday 7pm. £3pp; maximum six on a team; BYOB and raffle.

Highland Wildlife Rescue winter quiz at Brora Golf Club on Friday 7pm for 7.30pm; £5 entry.

Pub quiz at the Halladale Inn, Melvich, on Friday 7.30pm. Maximum four per team. £40 to the winning team or individual.

Coffee Morning

Lairg Gala coffee morning at Lairg Community Centre on Saturday 11am-1pm. Proceeds towards this year's panto trip for local primary pupils

Soup and Sweet

Golspie Primary School Parent Council soup and sweet at Fountain Road Hall on Saturday 12pm-2pm. £7/£3.

Tain Festive Day

Tain and District Development Trust and the Tain Gala Association have joined forces to bring together the Christmas lights switch-on and community Christmas market at Tain High Street and Rose Garden on Saturday 2pm-6pm.

Christmas Fairs

Doll Community Association Christmas Craft Sale at the Doll Hall on Saturday 2pm-4pm.

Rogart PTA Christmas Fair and Auction at Rogart Village Hall on Saturday 2pm-4pm.

Ardgay Public Hall’s Christmas fair on Saturday 2pm-4pm.

Made in Assynt Christmas Craft Fair at Lochinver Village Hall on Saturday 10am-4pm.

Craic and Ceilidh Night

Rogart Heritage Society Craic & Ceilidh Night at Rogart Village Hall on Saturay 7.30pm. The organisation will hold its AGM followed by a talk by Alasdair Mearns on the origins and meanings of some of Rogart’s place names. Refreshments and a raffle as well as tunes from local musicians.

Live Music

Dynamic duo the Mad Ferret Band play at Lairg Community Hall on Saturday in the penultimate gig of their Whirl Tour of Scotland. The duo features Chris Woods on mandolin, guitar and vocals and Sandy Stirton on guitar, cajon and vocals.

They have been electrifying audiences all over Europe for more than a decade and are known for their “earth-shaking” mandolin solos, tight vocal harmonies, driving Cajon beats and immersive guitar sounds.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets can be purchased online at Eventbrite or at the door. Adults £12; concessions £10; Adults plus one child £15. BYOB.

Sutherland Walkers

Sutherland Walkers nine-mile circular walk round Rosehall Wind Frarm track on Sunday from 10.30am. Contact: David Hannah 01863 76606.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 27

Growing Group

Kyle of Sutherland Growing Group’s end of year social and quiz night at Invershin Community Hall on Monday 7pm-9pm. All welcome.

Speakeasy

Community speakeasy and open mic session at Lairg Community Centre on Monday, November 27, from 7pm. Go along, share a song and meet your newly elected SNP candidate for the North Highlands, Lucy Beattie. Free admission.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1

Walk

Join the countryside ranger on a 9.8km walk from Melvich Bay to Sandside Bay on Thursday 10am-3pm. Contact: paul.castle@highlifehighland.com or 07827 281481.

St Andrew’s Ceilidh

Dornoch Firth Campus Parent Councils’ St Andrew’s Day Ceilidh at Dornoch Academy on Thursday 7pm-9.30pm. Music by the Rogart Ceilidh Band. Entry by donation. Refreshments, homebaking and raffle.
