Author Event

Author event at Dornoch Library on Friday 10.30am-12.30pm. Hear how Dornoch and the surrounding area inspired Liz Treacher’s new book.

Workshop

Free, family friendly Build a Bird Box Workshop at Timespan, Helmsdale, on Friday 3pm-5pm. 01431 821327.

Quiz Night

'The Caveman Cometh'

Grampian Speleological Group (GSG) presents ‘The Caveman Cometh’ – a weekend celebration of the club’s 57 years in the Elphin community.

An exhibition about GSG opens at Elphin Hall on Saturday with members of the club available to chat. GSC founder Alan Jeffreys will give a talk entitled ‘What else can we do?” at 2.15pm and Dr Tim Lawson will give a presentation at 3.15pm about the Assynt caves.

A short caving trip is being held on Sunday for local residents and those interested in joining the club. Email pete@nwhgeopark.com if you would like to attend any of the events.

Coffee morning and raffle at Embo Old School on Saturday 10am-1pm. In aid of research into Niemann Pick.

Craft Sale

Golspie Craft Group autumn craft sale at Golspie Free Church hall on Saturday 12pm-4pm. Sale of knitwear and other hand-made items and home baking. All proceeds towards the Kitchen Fund.

Organ Recital

Organ recital by James G R Campbell at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Tain, on Saturday 7pm. Followed by refreshments. Donations in aid of St Andrew’s Belfry Tower repairs.

Christmas Bingo

Christmas bingo at Strathy Hall on Saturday 7.30pm. Prizes and raffle, tea, Christmas cake and mince pies. Proceeds towards Melvich Care Home.

Quiz Nights

Talk
