FRIDAY, MAY 10

Lugger Fest

Lugger Fest at Ullapool Harbour from 9am today and also tomorrow and Sunday. A festival of traditional boats and maritime heritage, including boat displays, dockside demonstrations, talks, live music, stalls, food and drink. Ulluminate

Community Markets

Ardgay Community Market at Ardgay Hall on Saturday 10am-12pm. A range of stalls along with community garden, book and bric-a-brac table, refreshments and raffle.

North Coast Market at Bettyhill Village Hall on Saturday 11am-3pm. A wide range of stalls and a weaving demonstration will be held.

Workshop

Car Boot Sale

Walk

Film Night

Halladale Film Club screen Hollywood Blockbuster Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny at Strathhalladale Hall on Saturday. Doors open 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Enjoy a social gathering and refreshments afterwards.

Ceilidh Dance

Ceilidh Dance with Strathair Ceilidh Band at Doll Hall, Brora, on Saturday, 2.30pm-4.30pm. Tea, shortbread and cakes.

Tea party

Tea party in Rosehall Village Hall on Sunday 2.30pm-4.30pm. Local organisations will be manning information tables. Free entry and refreshments on offer.

Bingo

Bingo at Bunillidh Social Club on Sunday. Club opens at 6.45pm.

MONDAY, MAY 13

Woodland Storywalk

Dornoch Firth Group is holding a Fairy Day Woodland Storywalk at Camore Woods on Monday from 10.30am. A free event for families.

A story, an activity and a stomp round the woods. Slings, prams and walkers welcome. No booking required. Snack provided. For ages 0-5. For more information: jen@dfgcommunity.com

Wildflowers

Join the countryside ranger for Wondrous Wildflowers at Bonar Bridge library on Monday 3.30pm-4.30pm. This will involve looking at some wildflowers and insects and talking about names and the folklore of flowers. There will also be something to make and take away. The event is suitable for adults and children aged seven and over.

Tuesday Cafe at Helmsdale Free Church on Tuesday 10am-12pm. Cuppa and cake.

Walk and talk

Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust weekly walk and talks at Rosehall on Tuesday 10.30am-11.30pm (meet at Rosehall Trails) and at Ardgay on Thursdays10.30am-11.30am (meet at Drovers Square).
