Managers of Culrain Hall are now running a community larder on Thursdays from 2pm-4pm and on additional days on request.

Hall committee member Anne Henderson said: “The larder started as a spin off from the Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust’s community larder in the Barn at Ardgay. They passed on extra produce to us when they had more than they could store.

“It was well used and we decided to run our own, which is open to everyone.”

Highland Council deliver the mostly tinned and dried goods, which come from several large supermarkets and would otherwise be sent to landfill.
