‘We raised a fantastic amount in our wee village’: Fun and fundraising day at Portskerra

Four good causes have benefited from a hugely successful fundraising day held at West End Stores in Portskerra, last Saturday, May 4.

Voluntary organisations were invited to take stalls at the event and Tumbles of Fun provided soft play equipment and inflatables to entertain the children.

At the end of the day £165 was raised for Farr High School’s Amsterdam trip; £191 for Cats Protection; £166 for Melvich Community Care and £147.64 for a local play park project.

Eileen Bryant, chairperson of Melvich Community Council which organised the day, posted on the organisations’s social media page: “We raised a fantastic amount in our wee village and saw the best in our community.

“Thank you all so much for your generosity and I know everyone enjoyed the afternoon We will do it again next year!”

Ms Bryant also thanked everyone who had worked to make the day such a success.
