A lifesaving RNLI lifeboat is on the lookout for more crew and has launched an appeal for would-be volunteers to step forward.

The Invergordon RNLI base is seeking more ALB crew for its all-weather Shannon class lifeboat.

"Do you fancy being an RNLI volunteer?" said a spokesperson for the RNLI station. "As an all-weather volunteer crew member this role will help us save lives at sea by ensuring that our lifeboats are in a state of permanent readiness and crewing the lifeboat on service and exercise, under the command of the coxswain.

"Some of the things you will do as a lifeboat crew volunteer includes undertaking training and maintaining Competency Based Training as necessary to fulfil the role of crew member; being on call for lifeboat ‘shouts’; attending exercises; and contributubg to the overall upkeep of the station, lifeboats and equipment."

The closing date is January 21. For more information, or to apply, visit https://volunteering.rnli.org/vacancy/alb-crew-invergordon-546898.html.
