WATCH: Ullapool mum and daughter launch 'very exciting' art exhibition
An Ullapool-based artistic duo have launched their new "very exciting" joint exhibition.
Artists MK and LG Thomson are a mother and daughter powerhouse, who are both based in Ullapool. Their new joint exhibition titled This Is Where We Are, is being shown at The Ceilidh Place, and was put together by local art gallery An Talla Solais.
MK, a recent graduate of Duncan of Jordanston College of Art and Design (DJCAD) with a distinction in fine art, showcases her technically-immaculate and emotive award-winning painting skills in the new exhibition.
LG is also a graduate of DJCAD – in 1985. She has turned her hand to many multiple creative mediums, including being an author of multiple books, with her most recent being Modernist Dreams Brutalist Nightmares. As MK found a growing passion for art, it encouraged LG to reconnect with her own artistic roots.
This Is Where We Are in on display until March 17 – June 27, 2024, at the Ceilidh Place on West Argyle Street, Ullapool.
