WATCH: Proclamation of Accession read at Dornoch Cathedral

Following the formal proclamation of King Charles III at the accession council and the principal proclamation made from St James' Palace on Saturday September 10, the proclamation of accession was read at the Mercat Cross in Edinburgh on Sunday. It was then read in Inverness.

Subsequently, the proclamation was read at Cathedral Green in Dornoch at 1.30pm by the chairman of the Sutherland County Committee, councillor Richard Gale. He was accompanied by the Lord-Lieutenant Major General Patrick Marriott.
