VGS development officer Carol Summers said: "We want halls across Sutherland to host a coffee morning at the end of March.

"This will help halls raise awareness of their activities and it will also build confidence in communities about using their local hall again (following the coronavirus pandemic)."

Ms Summers added: "It is also a chance to have a get-together and enjoy some much needed fun and social contact."

VGS is coordinating the initiative and says it has resources and support available for halls who would like to take part.
