Woman found dead on 'Secret Beach' near Nairn

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal after a woman's body was found on the 'Secret Beach' near Nairn.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police had cordoned off an area of the beach on Thursday and continued investigations the following day but they have since left and the cordon has been removed.

A police spokesman said: “At around 6.15am on Thursday, August 25, 2022, police were called to the Hilton of Delnies area of Nairn, after the body of a woman was found.

“Following a post-mortem, the death is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
