A BOY aged five is in a critical condition in a Glasgow hospital and a six-year-old girl is in Raigmore Hospital in Inverness after a three vehicle crash near Inverness Airport.

Road policing officers in Dingwall are appealing for information following the serious road crash on the B9039, at the junction with Dalcross Industrial Estate, which happened around 9am yesterday Monday.

The three-vehicles involved were a grey Vauxhall Insignia, a grey Peugeot 208 and a black Vauxhall Astra.

The children and a 39-year-old woman were taken to Raigmore Hospital by ambulance, but the boy was later transferred to Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow where his condition was given by police as critical.

A police spokesperson added that the girl remains in Raigmore with serious injuries, and the woman has been released from hospital with minor injuries.

Two men, aged 53 and 22, were checked at the scene by paramedics.

The road was cleared and reopened around 6pm following inquiries.

Sergeant David Miller, from the Dingwall Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the B9039/A96 area, or who saw any of the vehicles prior to the crash, to please come forward.

“We are also keen to speak to anyone in the area who may have dashcam footage, as we carry out enquiries into this incident.

“Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 0658 of 6 March, 2023.”
