Local children's environmental group Ullapool Sea Savers has secured funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The group will use the funding for its new Love our Seas project, which will include accessible boat trips, remote beach clean-ups, kayaking and the group's usual activities and adventures.

A spokesperson for Sea Savers said: "We are delighted to announce that we have secured the support of the National Lottery."

"We are very, very grateful to them, to all the people who play the National Lottery and to everyone who has supported us so far.

"We can't wait to get stuck into the exciting programme of activities that Love Our Seas will involve. We look forward to continuing and growing."
