A WESTER Ross distilling company won a prestigious award for one of their gins last week.
What could be better to celebrate than raise a toast to the win?
The Highland Liquor Company from Ullapool have scooped the Best Drink Award in the Best Distilled category at the The Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Awards 2022 for their Seven Crofts Gin.
The spirit is named after the original seven private dwellings that made up Ullapool in 1791. Those dwellers sought to grow the town by establishing unique crafts and exporting goods all over the world.
Now, in collaboration with some of the best cocktail bars from the UK and worldwide, they are sharing four delicious ways to use Seven Crofts Gin and highlight its qualities.
Happy Street by Fam Bar, London
Ingredients & method:
50ml Seven Crofts Gin
50ml CBD Matcha green tea
15ml Bermondsey Street Bees Custom House raw honey + fresh peach syrup
2.5ml fresh lemon juice
Combine all ingredients, chill (no extra dilution) and serve straight up.
Seven Dwellings by Nauticus, Edinburgh
Ingredients & method:
40ml Seven Crofts Gin
20ml mallow root, earl grey and orange syrup
10ml Escubac
10ml lemon juice
Miraculous Foamer
Sweet Memories by Ruby, Copenhagen
Ingredients & method:
50ml Seven Crofts Gin
20ml Cucielo Bianco Vermouth
20ml pink grapefruit and pink peppercorn shrub
70ml soda
Build over crushed ice and garnish with pink peppercorns and blue gum eucalyptus.

Ingredients & method:
1 dash Angostura Bitters
25ml lemon
20ml simple syrup
50ml Seven Crofts Gin
Shaken with cucumber and mint and served on the rocks.
