Ullapool Bookshop to host launch of Assynt author’s new book

ULLAPOOL Bookshop is set to host the launch of The Lost Elms by Assynt writer, Mandy Haggith.

Dr Mandy Haggith is a poet, environmental activist and an author of numerous books. She is also a lecturer in creative writing and literature at UHI Inverness.

Katherine Douglas, manager of the bookshop said: “This is Mandy’s first work of non-fiction for a few years and we are hoping to hear from Mandy as to how the book came about, her life-long passion for trees but also, we will hear about how the fight goes on to save them.”

The free hour-long event will be held on August 14 at 5.30pm, with attendees being encouraged to reserve their space by emailing info@ullapoolbookshop.co.uk or calling 01854 612918.
