Two people were transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after a crash on the A9.

Two people were hospitalized following a serious collision on the A9 near Invergordon this morning.

The collision between Tomich and Delny took place at around 10.30am today, with two ambulances and an air ambulance attending the scene.

The two patients were transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but their condition is unknown at the time of writing.

At present the A9 remains closed in both directions.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10:26 to attend an incident on the A9, near Invergordon Junction.

"Two ambulances, an air ambulance and multiple resources were dispatched to the scene. Two patients were transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”

Police have been contacted for comment.
