Play training opportunity for adults working with children in Ullapool

Social enterprise Actify is visiting Ullapool on June 6, to provide Active Play Training for adults working with children.
The fully–funded training will show participants how to develop active play, gain a deeper understanding of physically active play, and more.
Actify engagement co–ordinator, Amy Stevenson said: "Actify is a social enterprise that provides training and technology services for organisations using sport and physical activity to improve lives across Scotland.
"Our training programmes are well established and supported by the Active Scotland division of the Scottish Government.
"Actify’s Active Play Training provides opportunities for adults working with children and young people to increase their knowledge and confidence to facilitate outdoor play experiences.
"Research has told us that almost two out of three Scottish school children aren't achieving daily recommended levels of physical activity. Active outdoor play is one of the most natural and obvious ways for children to be more physically active."
Actify’s Active Play Training is for adults over 18, who work with children and young people in a professional or voluntary capacity.
The sessions will teach skills such as:
- How to develop and adapt Active Play to best fit your needs
- Gain a deeper understanding of physically active play
- Practical guidance and resources
- Opportunities to reflect and share ideas with people across different organisations within your local community
Active Play Training is fully funded. Our training is consistently rated as 'excellent' and participants praise being 'able to learn whilst being active ourselves'.
