Train passengers in Highlands warned of delays and alteration due to severe weather
Train passengers in the Highlands are being warned of potential disruption due to severe weather.
ScotRail said speed restrictions are in place across some routes today.
They include West Highland, Highland, Far North and Kyle of Lochalsh routes as well as a small section at Wemyss Bay.
It stated: "Trains operating here will be subject to delay and alteration.
"We'll be monitoring the situation closely, and will update you if any further routes are impacted later today.
"Most speed restrictions will remain in force until 9am tomorrow."

Caledonian MacBrayne is also advising people to check today's ferry sailings which are subject to cancellation or alteration.
They include the service between Ullapool and Lochmaddy.
