Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival has unveiled two headliners for next year's event – as tickets went on sale yesterday (November 18) at noon – Travis and Sigrid.

Chart-topping rock band Travis, who formed in Glasgow in 1990, will close the three-day festival after previously headlining in 2012.

World famous Norwegian singer Sigrid known for recent hits such as Strangers and Head on Fire will headline the first night on the festival.

The traditional joke with Travis is that rain will be guaranteed when they play Why Does It Always Rain On Me, but hopefully the sunny sound of their hits such as Turn, Driftwood and Writing To Reach You will take care of any weather issues.

The band recently wrapped up a world tour in the USA, performing their four-times platinum their album, The Invisible Band. Over the years, the band has released nine studio albums including their most recent 2020 offering 10 Songs.

Sigrid has been making waves as one of the most exciting new pop acts of recent years and has has delivered standout performances at festivals up and down the country from Glastonbury to TRNSMT. But she will be making her debut at Belladrum.

Event producer Dougie Brown said: "We are delighted to announced the first acts set to join us next summer. Travis provided one of the standout Belladrum headline performances way back in 2012 and we can’t wait to bring them back to the Highlands in 2023.

"Sigrid is an incredible live act and we are very excited to bring her to Bella for her first UK festival headline performance. Across the bill there is a mixture of firm Bella favourites alongside some exciting news acts and there is still so much more to come in the following months."

Other acts featuring in the festival's first announcement include; Peat & Diesel; Tik-Tok sensation and Eurovison runner up Sam Ryder; actor and country musician Kiefer Sutherland; multi-award winning neo-trad quintet Elephant Sessions; contemporary Irish folk group The Mary Wallopers; Celtic-rock group Skerryvore; Scottish indie new-wave band The Embargo; The Bluebells; Tom McGuire & The Brassholes the funk soul powerhouse from Glasgow; and bringing their high energy punk rock covers Punk Rock Factory.
