Thursday Club's happy afternoon

Brora Thursday Club’s annual outing this year was an afternoon tea with entertainment in Cocoa Skye in the village.

This was a very happy afternoon which will be long remembered by the 44 members who attended.

The simply delicious afternoon tea was followed by a selection of new and old favourite songs with "Jim & Iain" (Jim Cunningham and Iain Sutherland).

Given the musicians were standing in the window of what historically had been the draper’s shop London House, Jim announced that they both had price labels on their backs - Iain priced at 12/6 and he was 10/-!

In thanking everyone who had contributed to the huge success of the afternoon, Jean O’Brien wished all present a very happy summer and shared that The Thursday Club’s next get together would be in The Brora Bowling and Tennis Club lounge on October 17.
