The candidates are: Lucy Beattie, SNP; sitting MP Jamie Stone, Lib-Dem; Steve Chisholm, Alba; Anne Thomas: Scottish Greens; Eva Kestner; Labour; Fiona Fawcett, Conservatives; and Sandra Skinner, Reform.

All are expected to attend the hustings, with the exception of Conservative candidate Fiona Fawcett, who will be represented by Caithness Highland councillor Struan Mackie.

The candidates will spend the first five minutes of the meeting explaining why people should vote for them in the General Election on July 4.

They will then be asked specific questions, including what measures they would take to improve flood defences in the village and the wider area and where the funding would come from to implement these measures.

Candidates will also be asked what policies they support to reduce energy costs in the Highlands and what plans they have to attract new industry to the area and support existing businesses. They will also be asked about depopulation in the far north and what steps they would take to increase the availablity of affordable housing.

These at the meeting will be invited to put questions to the candidates.

Each candidate will be asked to give a summary and closing statement at the end of the meeting.

Lochbroom Community Council is to hold a hustings at the Ferry Terminal, Ullapool, tomorrow.

The Golspie hustings will be held at Fountain Road Hall from 7pm-9pm on June 20.
