The Vamps set to perform at MacMoray's summer special in August 2024 in Elgin's Cooper Park

THE final MacMoray announcement of 2023 has seen The Vamps added to the line-up for the festival's special summer edition.
The boyband, who have had two number one albums, will play on day one of the one-off weekend-long festival, which is Saturday, August 10.
The Vamps consists of Brad Simpson, Tristan Evans, James Brittain-McVey and Connor Ball. The group are best known for songs All Night, Can We Dance and Somebody To You, featuring Demi Lovato.
They join Cascada, Aqua, Status Quo, The Jacksons and Bonnie Tyler on the bill for the event.
MacMoray organiser Andy Macdonald was delighted to add The Vamps to the line-up for the special summer event, which he described as a "one-off".
"I'm over the moon to get all of these artists and have such a versatile line-up," he said. "The idea with the line-up is that they are all appealing to someone different. It's something for everyone.
"They are all household names but they cover a whole range of different tastes. MacMoray Easter Festival has put the area on the map and now means we can do this summer special.
"All of these artists have been asked for by someone, but we were unable to get them at Easter because the capacity (10,000) isn't big enough or the timing isn't good.
"I needed to create this summer special in order to get these artists to perform. It's been three years of MacMoray so it's time to throw a special event, but this isn't going to take anything away from the Easter event."
The announcement of The Vamps is the final of the six planned for 2023. The next announcement for the summer special will be on on Friday, May 10, after the Easter Festival is done and dusted.
Tickets are now on sale and a special discount launch price of £45 for an adult day ticket and £75 for a weekend ticket remains in place until Christmas Day. Phone 01309 679613 for enquiries.
A new monthly payment plan has been added by the festival's organisers. This will allow people to pay monthly for tickets, with deposits as low as a couple of pound.
People who are struggling financially can ring the number and secure themselves a ticket for £10.
