TV star says Loch Ness Monster is a dinosaur
Television presenter and reality TV star Scarlett Moffatt says she believes dinosaurs still exist – and the Loch Ness Monster is one.
As reported in The Sun today she outlined her theory during a discussion on her BBC podcast Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe, with boyfriend Scott Dobinson.
In the broadcast Mr Dobinson said: "Please promise me now you're not going to suggest that Nessie is an alien, because if it is then I'm giving up.
"I'm literally leaving this room 'cause everything is aliens with you."
She replied: "Well I actually think...I think it's a dinosaur.
"Have you ever seen the photos of Loch Ness? If you haven't by the way Google it.
"They look like diplodocus but in the water."
She added: "These sightings have been going on for thousands of years and the first written account of Nessie was 1500 years ago.
"And you can't deny it because it was in the biography of a monk."
According to a biography of Saint Columba, written in the sixth century AD, he saved a follower from a monster in the River Ness by making the sign of the cross and ordering it not to touch him.
Sightings of Nessie reached new highs last year, with 18 in total.
Last year researchers from New Zealand claimed that the Loch Ness Monster could be a large eel, extracting DNA from water samples to test for this.
