Isabella Fioretti, who trains at Highland Boxing Academy in Inverness, was dominant in the Scottish Novice Championships at Ravenscraig last weekend – winning her final against Glasgow Boxing Academy's Tegan Dynes by third round stoppage.

Fioretti now looks set to continue HBA's growing female ranks, which includes the likes of Lindsay Fulton – who won the most prestigious amateur title Scotland has to offer earlier this year.

"We've got another female coming through the ranks with Isabella making her debut, and she won the title with a really dominant display to get a third-round stoppage," head coach Liam Foy explained.

"She was too strong and too relentless for her opponent.

"After the success of Lindsay winning the Golden Gloves last season, it's great that we've already got another prominent boxer who has been able to perform on that stage.

"Isabella has been encouraged by the likes of Lindsay at the club, so it certainly bodes well for the future."
