A BIG-HEARTED eight-year-old who won a 'sweetie cake' fit for a queen as part of an Easter Ross superstore's coronation celebrations shared decided to share her good fortune.

Tesco in Tain celebrated the weekend coronation of Charles and Camilla with a community fundraiser appealing to sweet-toothed locals.

The store decided to have a substantial sweetie cake made up from Oorweemix, a family business in the Easter Ross town.

All money raised from selling raffle tickets will be donated back to the local community. A total amount of £183 was raised and the lucky winner was Rosie Minty of Dornoch.

Tesco's community champion Ceri Cattanch said: "I was delighted with the amount and to meet up with Rosie who purchased two strips of raffle tickets with her own money.

"I gave her mum a call on the Friday, the day before the coronation, to say she had won so I was so happy to meet up with Rosie to give her the prize along with a cuddly coronation bear."

The generous lass then donated the sweetie cake for a Dornoch Lifeboat barbecue as a centrepiece so all children could help themselves.

Said Ceri: "Rosie is a thoughtful young lady."
