Tain seeks to honour community heroes as part of Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations

Community heroes could be honoured in Tain, with plans to present a host of awards in commemoration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.

Tain Gala Association is proposing to present seven special awards to individuals or groups in the area.

If you know anyone who has undertaken a good deed that has helped others; or an organisation which has made an outstanding contribution to a cause by way of donations or hands on help; or any other reason you believe a person or group should be recognised in this way the association would like to hear from you.

Nominations, including the reasons for them, should be sent to Mr A Rhind, Sutherland House, Bank Street, Tain, IV19 1AQ by Saturday, May 14.

The awards will be presented at Tain’s Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebrations on June 4.
