At the soup and sweet, pipers played a tune composed in tribute to Rhona by piping instructor Major Paul Harrison, Ardross, and called Rhona MacFarlane.

The Poppy Family posted on their social media page that the soup and sweet had been a "super afternoon" with a "brilliant turnout of people.

"We cannot thank everyone enough for helping us to achieve this," reads the post. "We could not do it without you – those who made money donations and who made soup, baked, donated raffle prizes and also to all the members of the public who attended.

"We were delighted to see familiar faces and new faces."
