All roads in Sutherland are being treated today according to Highland Council's priority and policy.

The local authority said in its winter road condition report for today: "The roads (in Sutherland) are dry/damp on lower routes while higher routes have a covering of snow. All routes are being treated including footpaths."

The report said that road temperatures in Ross and Cromarty were higher than had been forecast. The county had a "mixture of dry and damp roads on primary and secondary routes" which were all being treated.

Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh routes are described as "a mixed bag" of dry, damp, wet and snow-covered roads across the area. It said: "No overnight issues reported, and treatment is currently ongoing."

Roads in the Inverness area are "a little warmer than expected this morning". Treatment running on all routes and footpaths. No known issues.
