Sutherland residents warned of rogue traders in the region

Police are urging members of the public to be vigilant as a group of scammers have been reported to be operating in Ross-shire and Sutherland.
They said the group offering to repave driveways for free but then demanding money to be paid upfront.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Rogue traders use various tactics, can appear very convincing, and will often target more vulnerable members of our community.
"Don’t feel pressured into agreeing to have work carried out, don’t pay or offer to pay in cash upfront."
"If you suspect a rogue trader, do not allow them into your home and contact Police Scotland on 101. If they refuse to leave, or if you're scared for your safety, call the Police on 999."
They advise to always carry out research into the company and get multiple quotes from reputable traders.
