The duo launched their Harpland concert tour on Sunday May 5 at Ashburton, Devon, and will play at 10 venues including Eden Court Theatre on Sunday May 19.

Ruth plays three harps - the Scottish lever harp, the real clarsach (which is the rarely heard bell-like Gaelic wire-strung harp) and the buzzing Renaissance bray (which sounds like a huge sitar).

The tour focuses on circles of migration, and in particular the Highland Clearances. Interspersed with the performance are interviews with migrants coming into Scotland from Iran, Newfoundland, Ukraine and Latvia.

Ruth and Graham perform new versions of old Gaelic songs and Highland tune, which they have re-composed.

The concert will also feature a specially commissioned light installation by acclaimed artist Peter Freeman.
