The museum has worked with Protests & Suffragettes (P&S), a voluntary group of artists, activists and local historians, to produce the packs, which are being sent to 100 schools across the country including Golspie High School, Dornoch Academy and Farr High School.

Also involved in the project were Women's History Scotland, Glasgow Women's Library, and many of Scotland's women's history scholars.

Historylinks curator Lynne Mahoney said: “It has been amazing to see this project progress and we have been delighted to collaborate with P&S in researching Scottish Suffrage.

“These important histories should be better known, taught and represented in every Scottish school and museum.”

P&S is currently raising funds to produce more education packs.
