It is the showcase event of the season in the county and has run for nearly 70 years but now it too has fallen victim to the pandemic.
Sutherland Agricultural Society has announced that it "very sadly" has made the decision to cancel its 2020 agricultural show.
A statement on its website reads: "Naturally we are very disappointed, but in these challenging times the health and safety of all of these involved in the show is the most important thing."
The event had been due to take place on its usual site at Dornoch on July 25.
But organisers are already looking forward to better times and have set the date of the 2021 show for Saturday, July 24.
The Sutherland Agricultural Show began in 1951 to showcase the vitality and productivity of the largest county in the United Kingdom.
It presents an opportunity for farmers from far and wide to display the quality of their stock and annually attracts hundreds of visitors to Dornoch.
