Exponents of the Korean martial art from the Edinburgh and Falkirk areas were in Caithness and Sutherland on their annual trip.

The group was under the leadership of instructor Donald Mackenzie, who hails originally from Thurso.

Normally there would be as many as 70 taking part in the trip but Covid-19 restricted the numbers travelling.

A few years ago Donald was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Kuk Sool Won is known for its comprehensive collection of combat techniques, designed to take advantage of the human body's many pressure points.
