Strathnaver Museum at Bettyhill brings history to life for Farr Primary School pupils

History was brought to life for pupils in p4-7 at Farr Primary School when they paid a visit to Strathnaver Museum, Bettyhill, last Thursday.

The youngsters are currently studying the Highland Clearances and were keen to lean more about what life was like for people living at the time.

The pupils were split into groups and were shown round by Fiona Mackenzie, Strathnaver Museum development manager. They were then taken to see various exhibits relating to the Clearances.

Emily Mackay said: “It was great to see the Blackhouse and the tools and other items they used.” And Teagan Dall said: “Everything was amazing.”
