Stoltman brothers both qualify for World Strongest Man final this weekend

Luke Stoltman and Tom Stoltman have both reached the World Strongest Man final after qualifying from their groups.

But the Invergordon brothers needed to win a stone off to make it into this weekend's final after both men failed to win their groups.

Defending World Strongest Man's champion Tom, who is going for his third title, surprisingly finished second in his group after Pavlo Kordiyaka of Ukraine claimed top spot by 4.5 points.

However, Stoltman kept his dream of winning a hat-trick of titles alive when he defeated third placed Bobby Thompson of the United States in the stone-off to make the final.

Luke Stoltman also finished second in his group with Oleksii Novikov of Ukraine, one of the favourites to win the title, finished top by two points.

In the stone-off he defeated Gavin Bilton from Wales, who finished third, to make the final.

The final takes place on Saturday and Sunday.
