Treat your family this festive season with an escape to a Highland winter wonderland at the Macdonald Aviemore Resort.

Throughout the winter the resort is welcoming families to stay and enjoy Santa and toddler breaks packed with fun, exciting activities and entertainment for the wee ones, as well as fabulous food throughout your stay.

And for the Santa breaks, you can meet the man in red himself as he will be making a special visit to the hotel laden with gifts before his sleigh whisks him away for Christmas Eve. Youngsters – and the young at heart – can also meet, feed and walk the magnificent Cairngorm reindeer who will also be making a pit stop in Aviemore.

There is fantastic entertainment each night of your stay including live panto and new for this winter, an elf village to explore. As well as visiting Santa to receive their gift, children can also post their Christmas letters too.

Families will have full access to all the leisure facilities on-site – unique to the resort – including the biggest pool in the area with its flumes and toddler pool, and the soft play area. Dinner and breakfast is included and there is a fun, themed dining experience each weekend including a Scottish menu, an around the world buffet and of course, a Christmas feast.

Macdonald Aviemore is offering a choice of three-night Santa weekends and midweek breaks on November 18 and 25, and December 2, 9, 12, 16 and 19.

Looking to escape those post-festive blues? Then a toddler break is just perfect!

Families can choose a three-night or four-night stay as both offer lots of activities for wee ones including crafts, games, and a clown as well as full access to all the on-site leisure facilities. And the grown-ups haven’t been forgotten!

There is a free cinema pass for the whole family to the resort cinema, a discount for adults at Spey Valley Shopping – the resort’s on-site retail shop – and family tickets to Landmark Forest Park or Highland Wildlife Park. Breakfast and dinner throughout the toddler break is also included.

The toddler breaks are available from January 22-26 and February 26 to March 5, for four-night stays. Three-night stays are available from January 23 to 26 and February 20 to 23.
