Spaces still available for Fèis Chataibh Summer Week

Spaces are still available for the Fèis Chataibh Summer Week which runs from Monday to Friday, July 3-7.

Places have already been booked for around 60 youngsters aged eight to 18 for the week of music and activities at Golspie High School.

Tuition in fiddle, pipes, accordion, whistle, clarsach and Gaelic song are among the options for young people at Fèis Chataibh next week.

Classes by well known tutors are being offered in individual instruments and group playing.

Tutors Charlie McKerron, Bob Massie and Carol Anne MacKay join fèis regulars Gordon Gunn and Addy Harper.

The tutor team also includes Cheyenne Brown, Hugh Marwick, Jim Hunter, Richard Smith and Wendy MacKay.

A tutor concert and ceilidh will be held at the high school on July 4 from 7pm-10pm, with entry by donation – all proceeds go to fèis funds

Activities run from 9:30am-3.30pm each day, finishing with a concert on Friday afternoon to which everyone is welcome.
