A spokesman for the school said: "The equipment purchased will help our pupils learn about music technology and become confident individuals in this sector with advanced skills which will suit a wide variety of future careers.

"However, where this equipment will see most use is at school and community events.

"Lately we have used the equipment at a Poppy Day Tea Party and at Golspie Primary School's soup and sweet fundraiser in Fountain Road Hall."

The school has publicly thanked the Silver Rock Foundation for its support.

"It means a lot to school pupils and the community," said the spokesman.

Founded by actor Jimmy Yuill, the Silver Rock Foundation is a charity which aims to benefit young people in the Scottish Highlands with funding and experience to enable talent to flourish.
