A WORLD-renowned film music composer is offering the “script” for his latest composition as a fundraiser.

Highland-born Lorne Balfe (45) is offering his composition for Marvel’s Black Widow to help boost funds for Highland Hospice.

Mr Balfe has enjoyed a phenomenal career as the composer for a range of top-grossing video games, films and TV shows over the last three decades.

Among the titles he has worked are Mission Impossible and the DreamWorks animated films Home and Penguins of Madagascar, as well as video games Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Assassin’s Creed III, Crysis 2, Skylanders and the Call of Duty franchise.

He has also composed for The Crown and Genius on the small screen.

A spokeswoman for Highland Hospice said: “We have a giveaway of epic proportions!

“Invernessian Lorne Balfe is raffling the signed score of Marvel’s Black Widow which is out in UK cinemas now.

The score for Marvel's Black Widow is being raffled for Black Widow. A £10 donation puts supporters into a draw to win the score with musicians signatures.

“It is signed by all the musicians, singers, music team and Lorne himself.

“Every £10 donated will give you one chance to win this fantastic prize – £20, two chances, £100 10 chances etc.

“Your donation goes directly to Highland Hospice to raise vital funds for the care of our patients and their families.”

The winner will be drawn by the charity on August 8.

Reminding people to add their name to their donation, Highland Hospice fundraiser Carrie Macdonald said, “We are so very grateful to Lorne for supporting Highland Hospice through his involvement in Black Widow.

“He is such a talented and successful musician and we are delighted that he chooses to think of the hospice to benefit from his work.

“Good luck to everyone who enters the raffle!”
