Professor Sprout and Bond's Boris Grishenko, aka Miriam Margolyes and Alan Cumming, bring a little bit of magic to the Dingwall Shopmobility Highland shop earlier today

Actors Alan Cumming and Miriam Margolyes got a little help from the Shopmobility Highland shop in Dingwall yesterday.

Staff in the shop were said to be "star struck" when the duo popped in for a short visit.

The 80-year-old actress, best known for her roles as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter film series and in Martin Scorsese's Age of Innocence, was spotted with Mr Cummings (56), a Scottish actor best known for his roles in Bond movie Golden Eye, TV series The Good Wife, as well as the Spy Kids trilogy.

A post on Shopmobility Highlands Facebook page read: "A couple of surprise visitors today to our Dingwall office and delighted that we were able to help.

"Alan Cumming accompanied by Miriam Margolyes.

"Shona was starstruck."

It is understood that Mr Cumming, also a fine singer, has been working with a Gaelic tutor in the area.
