SEVEN further cases of Covid-19 have been detected in the NHS Highland area.
The number of cases recorded in the region since the start of the pandemic rose to 722 from 715 when the latest daily update was published by the Scottish Government.
Nationally, there were 697 new positive tests for the virus in the past 24 hours. Scotland has now had 32,906 confirmed cases since the outbreak started earlier this year.
The recent rise in hospital admissions also continued – with the number of people in Scotland receiving treatment in them for recently-confirmed Covid-19 rising to 218 from 210 yesterday.
Of those, some 22 were in intensive care – unchanged from the previous 24 hours.
No new deaths were recorded.
Elsewhere in the north of Scotland, NHS Eileanan Siar's recent cluster of cases continued on Monday, with three further cases taking its overall total to 47.
NHS Shetland and NHS Orkney recorded no fresh cases overnight.
But NHS Grampian added 24 new positive tests to its cumulative total, which now stands at 2431.
And NHS Tayside saw its overall tally rise to 2647 after it detected 33 further infections.
