Screen Machine cancels Golspie showings due to rise in Covid-19 cases

Mobile cinema the Screen Machine has cancelled its screenings in Golspie tonight amid a rise in Covid-19 cases in the area.

The Screen Machine was due to park up at Golspie High School bus park tonight with two screenings scheduled - Peter Rabbit 2 and Nomadland.

The Screen Machine is an 80-seat, air conditioned, digital mobile cinema which brings the latest films to rural areas of the Highlands and Islands.

However, managers stated on social media: “Due to the increase of cases in the Golspie area, we have taken the decision to cancel tonight’s screenings.

“Our apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience this will cause, but the safety of our customers and staff is our highest priority. Anyone who has booked tickets for these screenings will receive a full refund.”
