Schools and nurseries in Scourie, Durness and Kinlochbervie closed today

Six schools and nurseries across north-west Sutherland will join two other Highland schools not operating today.

Highland Council have confirmed on their school closures web page that Scourie Primary and Scourie Primary Nursery will be closed, citing "Covid-19 related" issues as the reason.

Durness Primary, Durness Primary Nursery, Kinlochbervie Preschool and Kinlochbervie Primary are also closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Other schools affected are Alvie Primary in Kincraig (Covid-19) and Applecross Primary (partially closed due to unforseseen circumstances).
