It was a spooky walk that may not have scared those who took part, but certainly sent shivers down the spine of all who came across it.

Members of Historylinks Museum’s Young Curators Club donned gruesome character masks they had previously made, and went on a Halloween outing round Dornoch.

Accompanied by family and friends, they were led by storyteller Lorna Jappy who wove tales of characters, both real and legendary, under a slip of a moon.

The club, which was started earlier this year, is for children aged eight to 12 and meets every Wednesday at Dornoch Social Club. Its aim is to give the young people an opportunity to have a “hands-on” involvement with history.

The club will be manning a sale at Historylinks coffee morning on November 23.
