Rotarian Alistair Risk, who helped man the stall, said it had been a “fabulous day”, made all the better because of the good weather.

“The crowd were the biggest we have ever seen in more than 25 years of running a stall at the event,” he said.

“Everything was superb, from the piping and athletics to the heavy events, dancing and music.

“The club had a great time, all made possible by the generosity of local people and visitors who bought tombola tickets and supported our fundraising.”

Mr Risk added that the stall had also sold 125 ducks, raising £125, for the 2022 charity duck race, scheduled to take place at Brora bridge on Sunday, September 11.
