Fiddle player and vocalist Eilidh and Ross, a guitarist, have been at the heart of the Scottish music scene and have toured the world with both their own groups and performing as guest artistes with a vast array of performers including Gaelic superstar Julie Fowlis.

However, they are probably best known for their work with two top traditional bands.

Eilidh has performed with the Poozies and Ross with Daimh, although some may recall the 2000s when they made up two-fifths of the cult folk explosion that was Harem Scarem.

The two made their first album, Birl-esque, together in 2017 which was released to critical acclaim on their own Rhubana Records label.

Since the album release and the launch of their duo project, they have toured Scotland, the United States, France and Germany and have performed at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow.

Tickets (£12) are available from Invercassley Tearooms, Rosehall; Hair at the Barn, Ardgay; and the Rusty Coo, Lairg). Alternatively pay by card by calling 01549 475080.

Doors open 7pm for a 7.30pm start. It is a BYOB event and there will be a raffle during the interval. Prize donations for the raffle would be welcome.
