A service will be led by Rev Hilary Gardner, Lairg, and wreaths laid by the Royal British Legion, Deputy Lord Lieutenant Sheila Stewart, Rogart Community Council and Rogart Heritage Society.

All 46 names on the monument will be read out by Christina Perera of Rogart Heritage Society, and small wooden commemorative crosses, each inscribed with the name of the Fallen, will be placed by local schoolchildren and relatives.

The piper for the occasion has been named as local resident Dr Alasdair B Mearns and the commemoration will start at 10.45am although those intending to be present are asked to be there by 10.30am.

A soup and sandwich lunch will be held afterwards at Pittentrail Hall.

The ceremony is being organised by the Creich and Kincardine branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland which is joined with Rogart and Lairg branches.

It is being live streamed through Facebook for people who are unable to attend.
