Ceilidh dancers celebrate 25 years of Friday night sessions at Rogart Hall

It is a bright spot in the week for many social dancers in Rogart and beyond.

For 25 years Friday night has been dance night at Rogart Hall with Rogart Ceilidh Band providing the music.

And a quarter-century of informal weekly dancing sessions was celebrated on a recent Friday night in the hall with prosecco, a Harry Gow cake and a delicious buffet - and of course rousing music and lots of dancing.

Monica Maclean from the band, said. “It is all about ceilidh dancing. Anybody can come along and learn how to dance.

“It doesn’t matter whether you have ever danced before. It is just a fun night. We have a laugh and everyone enjoys themselves.”
