REMEMBRANCE DAY: Wreaths laid at north coast war memorials

Remembrance services were held yesterday at Melness Tongue and Skerray.

Wreathes were laid by Deputy Lieutenant Frances Gunn on behalf of Sutherland Lord Lieutenancy.

Representatives of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service; His Majesty's Coastguard and of the local communities also laid wreathes.

Local schools held their own remembrance events on Friday, November 10 when pupils laid wreaths they had made.

Donations for the Lady Haig Fund from all three communities amounted to £295.
